Abstract :
A buck-boost converter combining the KY converter and SR buck converter with coupled inductors is presented. This converter is modified from the buck-boost converter combining the KY converter and SR buck converter. The voltage conversion ratio of the modified converter is greater than that of the existing converter. A detailed description of the modified converter is presented along with some simulation results. Simulation of the modified converter has been done for input voltage Vi=10-16V output voltage Vo=12V and switching frequency Fs=200KHz and the results have been compared with that of the buck-boost converter without coupled inductors. By inductor coupling the voltage conversion ratio of the converter has increased and voltage stress across the switches has been reduced.
