Abstract :
In current era, efficient control of electrical machines is highly desirable. For better control, one cannot go ahead without power electronics. There are various machines currently serving in industries, e.g., AC, DC, etc. To make available the desired power supply for the machines, rectifiers and inverters, etc. are used. There is large number of rectification techniques and some new techniques are still being developed. In this paper, the author compares various topologies for power supply conditioning, specially focusing on rectification process, with help of MATLAB/SIMULINK model simulations.
