Abstract :
Modified edge representation (MER) has remarkable accuracy for the surface to line integral reduction of radiation integrals in scattering problems. MER overcomes false singularities in equivalent edge currents and keeps accuracy for closely located sources. This paper presents the mathematical representation of MER for the general surface currents by using Stokes´s theorem and numerically shows its high accuracy in the far field region.
