Abstract :
Data-oriented wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are expected to support the diverse infrastructure-based commercial and military services, including real-time traffic monitoring, ecosystem and battlefield surveillance. The success of data oriented WSNs depends on the underlying information infrastructure to store the large amount of highly sensitive data and control the access to them from the users. This poses many new research challenges, particularly on the aspects of security and user´s privacy. In this paper, we propose a novel privacy-preserving data access control scheme based on our proposed novel key policy revocable attribute based cryptography. The proposed scheme is expected to not only thwart the user privacy compromising attack at the minimized computational overhead but to provide an efficient way to relieve the data storage workload and complexity of user revocation as well. Performance comparisons and security analysis show that the proposed scheme is very efficient and suitable for data-oriented WSNs.
