Abstract :
During the production of hardware tools, the metal shafts always need to be magnetically charged, for the sake of expediently fetching screws. The magnetic charging level acts as one of the main performance indexes for hardware tools, and has high requirement of polytechnic stability. At the present time, electromagnetic charging machines are widely used in the enterprises of hardware tools production, but most of them adopt the electromagnetic coils of small size, and work in manual operation. Those magnetic charging machines mentioned above have usually many drawbacks, such as high labor intensity, low productive efficiency, high coil temperature, catastrophic health hazard for human body because of long-time and short-distance magnetic field contacting. Therefore, it has positive sense to research and develop automatic charging machine for the production of hardware tools. Based on PLC, it was focused in this paper to design the control system for automatic electromagnetic charging machine. The system structure was investigated, the program frame was planed, and also parts of PLC ladder programs were given. The system was put into operation, and the actual result shows that the control system designed has the characteristics of easier operation, higher intelligence and better stability.
