Abstract :
This paper reports the results of the DiGiCult methodology for the generation of tourist´s suggestions and cultural destinations basing on users´ opinions in a community. Provided that any travel experience usually recalls other travelers experiences, this implies that the individual who is about to visit a desired destination might be more susceptible to suggestions given by a user he trusts, or simply by closer contacts, emerging from shared communities. We focus on the possibility and support offered by a monitoring and interaction analysis through a wide range of indicators jointly used by all users in different situations. Core objective of this paper is to outline the importance of an appropriate interpretation of content sharing and social relationships among users by means of the social network analysis (SNA).
