Abstract :
This paper presents a new wideband fixed phase shifter with substrate integrated waveguide. Inserting Air holes as a delay to create phase shift was presented before. But this paper applies from a new technique to insert the best count of Air holes and the best place of inserting Air holes. There is a direct relation between the counts of Air holes and the amount of phase shift. Two bits of phase shifts namely 15° and 30° are presented with the results of their simulation. They have 0.5° of phase ripple and their return losses and insertion losses are acceptable. These phase shifters could achieve 20% of bandwidth in KA frequency band from 32-40 GHz.
