Abstract
The microstrip-fed coupled slots antenna, is analysed using the spectral domain technique. It is shown that with the direct coupling of the two slots to the feed line, a very large bandwidth (in excess of 25%) can be achieved at the expense of a modified radiation pattern. The return-losses which are computed for two example antennas, are compared against the measurement results and are found to be in very good agreement.
