Abstract :
The main controlled variable of aeroengine control is thrust, while many problems such as over-temperature and surge may arise in the process of pursuing propulsion requirements. This causes a contradiction between engine performance and safety. The existing strategies can solve the contradiction by switching among different control loops, but they will generate the problems of system instability and confliction of safety variables representation. This paper presents an aeroengine regulation/protection coordinated control method based on the inner/outer loop framework and the consistent safety variable representation. The consistent safety variable is a global safety signal which is got by using the fusion method of principal component analysis (PCA). On the basis of this, the control authority can be switched between the inner and outer loops by judging the status of consistent safety variable, and the protection control is carried out by introducing a signal from the protection outer loop into the input of normal main inner loop. Finally, simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
