Abstract :
A parameter investigation into the broadband operation of a microstrip-fed uniplanar quasi-Yagi antenna using a full-wave electromagnetic field analysis is performed. In this study parameters that mostly affect this antenna´s design frequency and operational bandwidth are identified. For experimental verification a Ku-band prototype antenna is fabricated and its return loss and radiation patterns are presented.
