Abstract :
The PALANTE project aims to empower patients so they are able to make informed decisions about their health, take an active role in their own care and collaborate effectively with their healthcare team by the use of a Personal Health System. This article describes the enabling factors and main challenges encountered during the involvement and continuous participation of patients in the Turkish pilot for ankylosing spondylitis patients.
