Abstract :
Approximate formulas on base of simple parameters of L-C equivalent circuit for calculation of the characteristic impedance (rho = R/Q) for the reentrant cylindrical cavities can be used in microwave devices of klystron type as figure of merit (FOM), but they are not sufficiently accurate. Particularly low accuracy of calculation we can get if the drift tubes have a small diameter and a great height of the cavity.
