Abstract
Distributed Estimation scheme has been widely used in sensor networks. Through various approaches, sum of bits, Sigma-Delta modulation, and source coding, this paper implements the above techniques for distributed estimation and provides a new one called Quantization Region Allocation. In the end, this paper analyzes the performance (minimum mean squared error) and demonstrates performance approximating the soft decision scenario.
