Abstract
This paper deals with a method to find the optimum solar system design parameters couple (size, tilt angle) matching specific energy needs and several potential investor strategies. The calculation method and the related software represent a decision tool for optimum solar systems sizing at the early pre-feasibility stage of projects. Even if applied successfully to different solar technologies (PV and solar thermal heating), the method application remains, as it is, limited to mountings with a fixed tilt.
