Abstract
Currently, the switched reluctance motor is recognized as a performing engine, due to its high reliability, robustness and low cost. In this article we will present an SRM 8 6 control without mechanical sensor, the linear modeling is done by the "AC small signal" technique, its control is done in closed-loop speed with current loop corrected with a PID controller. Difficulties encountered to impose a standard mechanical sensor to the SRM and the disadvantages of this sensor in terms of cost and reliability have motivated us to develop a position estimating method, this method uses the phase flux and the measured current. The performances of the control structure are simulated on Matlab / Simulink.
