Abstract :
A new hybrid method in the time domain that combines the three well-known numerical techniques, viz., the finite differences time domain (FDTD), the finite element (FE) and the method of moments (MoM), is presented. It combines the desirable features of the individual techniques for analyzing different parts of the problem for which they are best suited. The method is used to analyse radiation from thin wire antennas in the presence of arbitrarily shaped bodies.
