Abstract
The usage of small Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) is an interesting perspective for modern agriculture. These systems place strict demands on the weight and size of their onboard sensors. In this paper a polarimetric 24 GHz FMCW radar is presented. First experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of airborne soil/surface characterization.
