Abstract
In this paper, two methods are proposed for the synthesis of non uniform linear array which are composed of the superconducting tunable rectangular microstrip antennas (STRMA). The proposed synthesis methods consist of two steps. First, we find the scattering properties of STRMA by using spectral method. Then, the stationary phase method is used for computing the far zone field. Second, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used to obtain a non uniform linear array with optimized excitation magnitudes, phases and locations. The obtained results show the proper performance of the array antenna to provide the directive radiation and low side lobe level. Several synthesis studies are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed synthesis method.
