  • Abstract
The procurement of a large EMC chamber is generally a major investment of resources for any firm desiring to own such a facility. Due to the large dollar amounts typically involved in such projects it becomes very important to develop a chamber specification that captures the full and complete technical description of the desired new chamber. Towards that goal this paper provides a general overview of the chamber specification content and addresses a few aspects of some of the specification elements. While an in-depth study of the chamber specification and other areas of the chamber procurement process are beyond the scope of this paper, the discussion in this paper should provide some insight to those who are actively involved in a new chamber project. The foundation for this presentation is based on the author´s work managing a new chamber project involving the specification, procurement, construction, and qualification of a new 10 meter semi-anechoic chamber for a major manufacturer
