Abstract
Device-free localization (DFL) is an emerging wireless technique for estimating the location of target without electronic equipment, usually by detecting the changes of the received signal strength (RSS) measurements of the wireless links. Due to the uncertaintiy of the wireless channel, wireless signal may be polluted seriously and result in error-detection. In this paper, we propose a novel intersection of link approach with outlier intersection rejection (ILOIR) for DFL. It consists of two key strategies, including: affected link identification by differential RSS detection, and target location estimation from link intersections with outlier intersection rejection. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach is robust to the fluctuation of the wireless signals with superior localization accuracy compared with the existing Radio Tomographic Imaging (RTI) approach.
