Abstract
A new lab for PD/sound level measurement used to 35 kV epoxy transformer has been created in Guang-Dong China. The background sound level of the Lab<25 dBA while it is 80 dBA in ambient, the noise level for PD test<1 pC, the max. capacity and max. weight of tested transformer for sound level and PD detection are 2.5 MVA and 4.0 MVA, 8.8T, and 12T respectively
