Abstract :
Based on the equivalent model of off-shore wind farm and the requirements of the national standard "technical rule for connecting wind farm to power system", this paper proposes a specific scheme for searching the optimal reactive power compensation for offshore wind farm, which based on variable PI full search algorithm, by equipping reactive power compensation device both at low-voltage side of substation and onshore centralized control center. With analyzing a specific offshore wind farm on PSCAD, the simulation results verifies that optimal reactive power compensation can be got based on variable PI full search algorithm. It can follow the dispatching order and regulate active and reactive power of offshore wind farm accurately in all available operating condition.
