Abstract :
This study is aimed at identifying the practiced green computing approaches in Malaysian IT industry. In this study, a quantitative analysis method was used. The data which was collected through online survey from the Malaysian IT industry was subsequently analyzed. Results from the study indicated that three major green computing initiatives have been identified and adopted by Malaysian IT industry are: Telecommuting, Algorithmic Efficiency and Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP). Furthermore, the insight of level of green computing adoption by Malaysia IT industry is also presented.
