Abstract :
Most of the substation in Indonesia has to be check again the performance in overvoltage protection, the use of insulation coordination according to the standard IEC 71-1 has to be applied to the substation. 150 kV Teluk Betung substation in South Sumatera is one of the substation chosen to be observed and studied. The study is being done by observing the number equipment BIL etc. Analysis and evaluation of insulation coordination aims to create a system that are parts, each one and with each other have the insulation endurance that in any operating condition, the electricity supply quality can be achieved technically and economically.
