Abstract :
A simple data structure and an efficient algorithm for radial distribution load flow solution is proposed in this paper. The data structure is created to support the implementation of the well-known backward/forward sweeps method. The current-summation based backward/forward sweeps method has been implemented using this data structure. The algorithm becomes almost straightforward and very fast. Numerical test gives promising speed up. In comparison to a recently published power-summation based BFS method, the proposed method timing is only 5% of the latter.
