Abstract
This paper propose a wireless sensor and actuator network (WSAN) system, where each sensor node has the function to carry out the classification process beside monitoring their measured value. In this WSAN system, the sensor nodes and actuator nodes are combined into a single node to handle some cases that have a fast response time of monitoring results and controlling the actuator without waiting for request or decision from the coordinator node. For the classification data in sensor nodes, the fuzzy logic algorithm is adopted to their classification program in microcontroller. This function will result the insertion of the classification algorithm to the row of the monitoring code program on sensor node. This proposed system is take a room temperature and humidity cases in which the WSAN system has function to monitor the temperature and humidity and keep the value of the temperature according to the reference value. Through the stage of fuzzification, inference and defuzzification, the output from the process of classification is obtained. Therefore, it is easy eventually for sensor nodes to carry out the decision that use to control the actuator.
