Abstract :
This work introduces a correlating m-sequence ground penetrating radar. It features an FPGA as binary arbitrary waveform generator, external synchronization hardware for jitter reduction and a commercial undersampling ADC. Integrated synchronous averaging allows fast measurement times with selectable noise suppression. Advantages as well as limitations of this basic system are discussed and initial measurements are shown.
