Abstract :
This paper proposes a new compact planar design of Witricity device by implementing varied number of capacitor plates with and without slot. The design is realized by using Rogers R03010 substrate in order to realize more compact and thinner Witricity device with adequate transmission distance. The performance of Witricity is evaluated through the parametric studies on varying number of capacitor plates. The slot is introduced to the design to observe its impact. A more compact and thinner planar Witricity device design with up to 75% size reduction is achieved with 2 cm transmission distance and more than 70% efficiency.
