Abstract :
This paper presents a low power, wide bandwidth low noise amplifier (LNA) with current-reused transformer feedback topology in 90-nm CMOS. The current-reused technique is employed to reduce the power consumption and meanwhile maintain the moderate gain by using Gm-boosted in common-gate (CG) stage. The input matching adopts a gate-source feedback transformer to achieve wideband gain and noise matching in LNA. The proposed LNA achieves a gain of 11.4 dB over a 3-dB bandwidth of 17 to 30 GHz, and a minimum noise figure (NF) of 3.65 dB. The measured 1-dB compression point (P1dB) is −17.5 dBm at 24 GHz. The LNA consumes only 6.11 mW from a 1.3-V supply.
