Abstract :
A high gain substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) fed cavity-backed patch antenna array is demonstrated at V-band. The multilayered structure of the proposed array can be fabricated by conventional low-cost single layered printed circuit board (PCB) technology and then realized by stacking and fixing all the layers together. A gain up to 29.7 dBi with a 3-dB gain bandwidth of 16.1%, an impedance bandwidth of 15.3% from 57.5 to 67 GHz for SWR < 2, symmetrically broadside radiation patterns with −40 dB cross-polarizations are achieved.
