Abstract
A 4-way frequency splitter at microwave frequencies based on plasmonic broadband slow-wave systems is proposed. The broadband slow-wave systems can make electromagnetic (EM) waves at different frequencies stopped at different locations. By carefully designing the open-end stubs with different lengths at the locations where the EM waves are stopped, the EM waves can be released and propagated along these stubs. To improve the isolations between different stubs, we have specially designed band-stop filters before the open-end stubs and implemented a 4-way frequency splitter. The isolations between each branches is good. The full-wave simulation is used to verify such 4-way frequency filter.
