  • Abstract
In this paper, the graphene complimentary frequency selective surface (CFSS) is proposed for terahertz application. Its transmission characteristics are predicted by a compact circuit model, which has a transmission pole and zero within the frequency range of interest. The chemical potential of the graphene layers has significant influence on the central frequency and bandwidth. To improve the electrical tuning in practice, a sandwiched graphene CFSS is further proposed. The tunable central frequency and bandwidth can be achieved by changing the chemical potentials of both top and bottom graphene mesh layers simultaneously, which has been demonstrated by the full-wave simulations.
