Abstract
This contribution deals with the direction-of-arrival estimation of narrowband signals with a single antenna element. Under sparsity constraints the estimation procedure is based on compressed sensing by altering the receiving characteristics of the antenna. This approach requires the dimension of only one antenna element and allows DOA estimation even in indoor scenarios which are inapplicable for large antenna arrays. Simulation results are provided to present the performance of the proposed method.
