Abstract
With the rapid growth in the number of wireless LAN (WLAN) stations (STAs) complying with IEEE802.11 standards, like smartphones, heavy congestion is a common occurrence where many STAs are present. In this paper, to solve this problem, we propose a transmit constraint method that takes account of transmission speed, in addition the number of STAs. The proposed scheme is confirmed by experimental measurements using an IEEE802.11b/g compliant access point (AP). The proposed scheme highly offers effective priority STA protection. These results confirm about two times system throughput higher than conventional scheme.
