Abstract
This paper addresses an impedance matching problem with mutual coupling in the presence of signal and noise coupling in compact MIMO receivers. The optimal matching for minimizing the noise figure is employed. A closed-form result of ergodic capacity theoretically shows that the ergodic capacity on the optimal matching is independent of antenna characteristics in compact MIMO receivers under 3-D isotropic scattering environment.
