Abstract :
A simple method is proposed to design a power divider with two extra transmission zeros for improving stopband response. The two additional transmission zeros are generated by embedding a parallel resonator in the transmission path of the divider. The embedded parallel resonator is realized by connecting a chip capacitor parallel with one part of the quarter-wavelength transmission line section of the power divider. Because the required capacitance value is small, the added capacitor only improves the stopband performance while having little influence on the passband response of the power divider.
