Abstract :
An extremely wideband planar antenna with triple notched stop bands are analyzed and presented. In the proposed antenna, an extremely wideband is achieved by modifying ground plane structure and triple notched stop bands are achieved by inserting two C-shaped slots in the radiating patch and U-shaped slot in the feed line. Predicted impedance bandwidth is 2.62–19.65 GHz, for VSWR < 2. The triple band-notched functions 3.35–3.75, 5.10–5.88 and 8.0–8.61 GHz, for VSWR > 2 are achieved. Antenna shows average gain of 4.46 dBi and satisfactory radiation patterns in the passband. Significant gain reduction over the rejected band is observed.
