Abstract :
A novel compact ±45 dual-polarized L-probe annular ring antenna is designed for wideband base station applications. The antenna has a compact size of 0.32×0.32×0.18λ0. The center of the antenna is hollowed for additional antenna operating at higher frequency. The measurement shows the antenna obtains a wide bandwidth of 47.6% (1.60–2.60 GHz, SWR<2) for both ports. The isolation of the ports is more than 30dB over the entire operating band and the average gain of the antenna is 7.8 dBi.
