Abstract :
A phasing element for wideband single-layered microstrip reflectarray antenna operating at 4 GHz is proposed. The structure of the phasing element is based on a printed circular ring connected with two open-ended stubs for the phase shifting purpose. The presented characteristics of the element demonstrates an extensive phase range of more than 400° over the operational frequency range from 3.7 to 4.3 GHz, which is specified for wideband satellite communications.
