Abstract :
In this paper, Fuzzy logic controller based on convention PI and PD is developed for magnetic levitation system. This is called a fuzzy PD+ PI model which applied the error signal and derivative of error as the input variables for the fuzzy block. The fuzzy controller rule based model is tested on the magnetic levitation system. The fuzzy controller is designed to maintain a magnetic object hanging in the air counteracting the weight of the object. The performance of the control law is based on fuzzy and can be seen as superior to convention PID controller for shorter settling time.
