Abstract :
This paper presents integration of distributed generation (DG) on Nigerian transmission network. The DG technologies used are wind and solid-oxide fuel cell. They are sited on major transmission section of the network which will adversely affect the stability of the transmission network Hence, the focus of this study. The analyses therefore, cover the transient as well as dynamic behaviour of the network when a three-phase fault was introduced in the presence of DGs. The analyses show an increase in the peak-to-peak terminal voltage when DGs were connected. This study is essential for planning and operation of the system with DGs.
