Abstract
In Andrea (1995, 1999), a generalized L2 framework for controller design has been developed which can be used to solve robust performance problems for systems with full structured LTV uncertainty. LMI solutions have been developed (Andrea, 1999) which offer an attractive alternative to μ synthesis involving D-K iteration. The purpose of this paper is to give a tutorial demonstration of a simple relation between generalized L2 and μ synthesis for simple scalar robust tracking and disturbance problems
