Abstract :
This paper aims to investigate the fundamental properties of single-walled carbon nanotubes bundles dipole antenna at THz frequency band by using Drude method. Due to their metallic conducting properties, the armchair-SWCNTs will be utilized in this work to configure the bundle of SWCNTs. The cross section of bundle that will be investigated in the current work can be in a rectangular geometry filled by identical SWCNTs having the same radius. The radiation pattern, s11 parameters and antenna directivity are presented in this antenna. The results demonstrate that SWCNTs bundle can be utilized instead of an individual SWCNT for designing carbon nanotubes dipole antenna, in order to reduce several problems associated with the design of SWCNT dipole antenna. All results in this work can be used to design carbon nanotubes bundle dipole antenna in a wide THz band. The performance of antenna will be evaluated by using Computer Simulation Technology (Microwave studio) CST (MWS), which presents and analyzes the key parameters of the antenna.
