Abstract
Increasingly, the information that people need to use computers has moved from printed manuals, to online documents, to the interactive interface. People with technical communication skills can play an important part in the design and development of these interfaces, but they may not always be given the opportunity. The presentation will explore the range of skills they have and those they may need to acquire; and discuss how this plays in to the choice of who designs the interactive interface.
