Abstract :
Because language is a part ofculture and is influenced by it, it is likely that written documentation is culture-bound. Therefore, culture-specif features in language are diflcult to disregard although the use of modern technology brings cultures closer and their role in linguistics is decreasing. However, there are still conceptual diferences in structure and vocabulaty between languages. This can be demonstrated by comparing the Finnish style of writing to the Anglo-American way. Both of these two cultures have a distinctly diferent pattern of writing and require different things from the reader.
