Abstract :
Discusses the properties of a new distributor structure which is built based on the CSEs (controlled switching elements), and applies the distributor for realization of the virtual FIFO queue. The CSE is a variation of the 2×2 switching element which is controlled by the external control inputs (ECIs), and the CSE-based distributor takes the reverse banyan network (RBN) structure consisting of the CSE elements. The authors present four basic properties of the proposed CSE-based RBN and, in addition, they provide a detailed description on applying the CSE-based distributor for an efficient realization of the virtual FIFO queue
