In this paper, combined with teaching practice of automotive electrical and electronic technology curriculum, effective ways to improve students technological innovation ability in the teaching of the curriculum were explored, teaching methods to improve students innovation ability were put forward, the methods mentioned were as follows: using and analyzing gained innovative achievements in professional fields to inspire innovative thought, searching and consulting scientific literature material and learning from scientific and technological achievements in other technology fields to carry on technological innovation, and fostering professional practice intelligence and technological innovation ability in technical practice, etc. The teaching practice in specialized courses has shown that, the use of the proposed training methods to increase students´ technological innovation capability will help to improve students´ innovative consciousness and to enhance innovation ability.
