Abstract :
This article presents a representation method of numeric attributes in concept formation. This method represents numeric attributes based on its value distribution. The relative problems and properties on this representation are discussed in detail. The paper also defines a clustering evaluation function which can deal with symbolic attributes and numeric attributes uniformly. The concept formation learning system, which has been implemented and applied to geological classification, is also introduced
