Abstract :
This paper deals with the performance and optimal design criterion of novel phase spreading sequences (PSS) for DS/SSMA system with full response continuous phase modulation (CPM). Several kinds of PSS sets with various periods under the condition of CPFSK of modulation index 0.5 are constructed by exhausted search based on the criterion. The performance of the DS/SSMA system with PSSs over a Rayleigh fading channel is investigated by theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. Finally, with similar conditions, a comparison between the performance of the systems with PSS technique and traditional PN sequences are carried out
