Abstract :
DS-CDMA cellular networks are known to have time-varying interference-limited capacity. However, many papers in the literature have either assumed an infinite capacity or a fixed average value of capacity when mathematically analysing CDMA systems. We derive a more exact traffic model which take into account the soft nature of CDMA capacity and include slow fading. Using the central limit theorem, the system interference statistics are derived. The call blocking performance of the cellular network is then derived for three different call admission schemes
